Day -3

Welcome to my 'training journal' for the Leukemia & Lymphoma (13.1 mi) Half- Marathon.

I will be writing not only about the training itself but the mental process...the discipline of training, and the thoughts that go on in my head as I run for what seems like endless miles.

Training officially began on Tue Aug 7th. The first Saturday practice was canceled due to the overwhelming ash over SB (Friday) that came from the Zaca fire.

Training began at the SBCC track, a place not too unfamiliar to me. Although I like running stadiums, I have not yet taken to running in 'ovals'.

So far I am setting up my blog and have just set up my donation page at http://www.active.com/donate/tntgla/ouribe
